We design places that ask to be used.
A global design and architecture studio creating hyper-stimulating environments that bring joy to cities and people.

The studio
100architects was founded in Shanghai in 2013 by Marcial Jesús, and is led alongside Javier González and Abdullatif Alsayegh. The studio is part of the Alsayegh Group of Companies and works from Shanghai, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.
Its work runs from small urban artifacts to entertainment destinations and masterplans, and consistently treats public space as something to be played in rather than passed through.
Approach
The public realm is a privilege
The studio's manifesto frames work in public space as a privilege, with a clear purpose: to design objects that attract people and encourage social interaction on the street.
Contrast, not camouflage
Rather than blending interventions into their surroundings, the studio argues for contrast and bold expression — an approach it describes itself as controversial and unapologetic.
The hyper-stimulating public space
Its central idea is that plazas competing with screens must embrace stimulation, fantasy and interaction. Projects are intended as catalysts for community appropriation.
